The Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, is the imperial palace of Ming and Qing Dynasties in China. It is the largest and most complete ancient wooden complex in the world. At the Forbidden City, a total of 24 emperors ascended the throne and ruled China for more than 500 years. The Forbidden City, the Palace of Versailles, the Buckingham Palace and the White House are collectively referred to as the world’s Four Palaces. It is a treasure of Chinese culture.
